McKeddie Cooley frequently represents homeowners victimized by HOAs. One especially disturbing story was recently covered by local Arizona news media. A Valley woman told CBS 5 News that her homeowner's association is abusing its power and trying to kick her out of her home.

Ms. McKeddie represented a group of over 50 owners challenging a majority ownership group's conduct that occurred while they controlled the community's HOA. Ultimately, Ms. McKeddie succeeded in removing the majority owners from control, when the Court appointed a Receiver to operate the HOA. Multiple media outlets have covered the case. Ms. McKeddie has been selected for publication in the Phoenix Law Review Spring 2011 Edition. Her article, "A Case for Reasonableness," discusses recent Arizona Court of Appeals decisions relating to HOA law.
